A journey is fun but it is always good to be home….especially since fall is in the air! What a nice time of year! Looooveee it!
I will be writing a big blog about our food experiences in Italy (and sharing some of the 1200 pics), but first a couple meals/recipes to get back on track!
Jeremy and I came home to an empty fridge and pantry 🙁 so we headed to the grocery store to stock up on all our favorites. Much to our enjoyment, fall foods are everywhere. Check out this produce aisle:
Sweet Potatoes
Honey Crisp Apples (only the best apple every!)
Sweet Tango apples (a new kind!!!…made from honeycrisp and another kind…can’t remember…sweet yet spicy=good)
Redish golden pears (would know the name but Jeremy ate the last one 🙂
The first meal I made when we got home…well besides a big bowl of cereal…was a big spinach salad. Man were we craving that after weeks of pasta and… well… more pasta.
On this salad:
Marinated chicken breasts (buckwheat honey, worcheshires, red wine vinegar, touch of sea salt)Bed of baby spinach leaves

Kiwi, sliced
Avocado, cubed
Almonds
Fat free cottage cheese
Dressing: olive oil and balsalmic vinegar
YUM!
More to come…chile, acorn squash, and J and I’s apple extravagnza!
Until next time…
look good, feel good, do good
